![]() ![]() The system consists of eight main arrays, each configured with eight K2 enclosures and four Kara elements. The sound system hangs from a dedicated 80-foot-diameter motorized truss ring, encircling a massive center video display. System design and oversight were provided by the AV design consultants at WJHW in collaboration with Dickies Arena ownership, Trail Drive Management, and The Beck Group. ![]() The systems were installed by Fort Worth-based AV systems integrator and L-Acoustics Certified Provider Electro-Acoustics. Two dedicated systems were integrated: one for the Dickies Arena Main Bowl, and one for the adjacent Simmons Bank Pavilion, a multiuse exhibition and meeting space. Electro-Acoustics hung eight K2/Kara arrays and four KS28 sub arrays from the motorized truss ring above the bowl’s giant video scoreboard The technology centerpiece of this sports and entertainment venue is a sound system comprising L-Acoustics K Series and A Series elements, combining into the single largest arena sound system in L-Acoustics history. As the home of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Dickies Arena will host NCAA basketball tournaments, gymnastics, collegiate and professional ice hockey, major concert events, family events, and more. After five years of planning and construction, Dickies Arena, a new 14,000-seat multipurpose venue in the City of Fort Worth’s Cultural District, opened its doors on October 26, ushering in a new era of sports and live events. ![]()
